Wyndham Street South Construction - Diyode-Quassel
City gave us a head's up. York Road to River will be re-constructed. Starting July 2015, completed by December. Local access is expected to be maintained.
rags - Diyode-Quassel
Ed washed a whole bunch of the rags in the shop, wanted to know where to put them. nice to have 2 bins, one for clean and one for dirty. Dirty one needs to be metal with a close fitting lid, to prevent risk of fire. Ed will investigate a 'safety dirty bucket.' Need to find a good spot in shop... ------------ Tap needs to be re-done at some point in the future, because it does leak a bit. Works for now.
wow 3D printer - Diyode-Quassel
Mark and John leveled bed of wow 3D printer and got it running. Dave printed on it on Sun May 17. John printed on it on Mon May 18, successfully. ------------ Better computer has moved to beside 3D printer. Plain jane computer is up-front. Mark has ordered a 'better' video card and RAM for the 3d printer computer.
insurance update - Diyode-Quassel
Current insurance policy has not been re-newed. It will expire on May 22. Board is working on getting new insurance in place this. Likely, policies, practices will change in shop to support new insurance.
Ron's Donations - Diyode-Quassel
3 car loads of goods from Ron's basement. Big sort is a high priority for tonight.
Lazer Cutter Adjustment ? - Diyode-Quassel
Was working well on Sun, for engraving, but probably needs an adjustment of alignment. Needs general maintenance.
new shop vac - Diyode-Quassel
John bought a Rigid shop-vac for $30. Needs a filter. Plan is to use it under the table for dust collection for new sander.
Ken Brown's Kiln - Diyode-Quassel
Ken's dad has a glass kiln with 1 cubic foot internal volume. Top loading. Digital controller. 'Better' than the one we had here before. Vote was 'YES' Need a tool stewart. Need a $ 5 per hour or $ 2 per hour cost, to cover electricity. Need to confirm use.
