Membership

Member Benefits

By becoming a member, you have access to the shop and all tools 24/7. You can use any communal materials in the shop (Things like glue, screws, components, some wood and metal is available for member use). Some tools will require a Use & Safety Course before you can use them. You will also need to sign the Membership Agreement and Liability Waiver in order to join. Membership registration is done in person at Diyode.

Membership Fees:

Membership fees as of February 1st, 2024 are as follows :

Regular membership $90/month + HST = $101.70  
Home Schooler membership $65/month + HST = $73.45  
Student / Senior (65+) membership $60/month + HST = $67.80

If you still can’t afford a membership, talk to us, and we’ll try and work something out.

Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult member.

Memberships for people 16 to 18 years will be done on a case-by-case basis.

Payments:

For single-time regular membership payments pay $100 + HST, one month minimum membership, with the terms outlined under “Member Benefits” above.

For single-time student or Senior membership payments pay $75 + HST, one month minimum membership, with the terms outlined under “Member Benefits” above.

For single-time Homeschooler membership payments pay $70+ HST,  one month minimum membership, with the terms outlined under “Member Benefits” above.

For recurring payments, come out to our Monday Night Maker Meeting or contact info@diyode.com. Please do NOT send any credit card details by email. It’s safer to do that in person or over the phone.

Return Policy:

Membership fees will be reimbursed on request up to 5 days after your transaction, if no workshop time has been used in that time period.
To request a refund, or to cancel your recurring monthly membership fees, contact us at info@diyode.com 

Under-Age Policy

For the sake of safety and liability, we place certain restrictions on members under the age of 18. Parents of under-age members must sign a special section of the indemnity waiver. Certain tools may be unavailable to under-age members. Although under-age visitors may visit the shop any time, they are not able to bring guests, as they are not able to legally take responsibility for guests.
